New stuff
If just got back from work and it has given me a great idea for a Thriller, it is basically five minutes solid of me beating the uhh stuff out of the staff at Sainsbury's... blood everywhere haaaaate. No seriously I need to do those storyboards but they take ages 'cause if they don't look right it'll take longer. Grrr. Oh yeah should we sorta do some questionnaires uhh and research (got Duel and Fargo for that) uhh and some sort of plan and ask Hery and Jon for their opinion... wonder how Jons doing in Russia (if this was a sitcom there would be a cut to him running away from a giant hoard of somthings... possibly porcupines or Vikings?)
mooooooore plannnnnnning
doin more storyboards today and will be posting them soon when i figure it out lol...there is a new link thing on the right handside which u can use to get to t' storyboards but i've only added like 2 pictures and only for one of our ideas not the others so yeh byeeeee
Techno Retard
Finaly made a blog thing but it took ageeeeeeeees. Loads to click on and I'm a techno retard (or technology virgin as is the kinder term). Anyways we've tried to do a storyboard and it getting agrivating 'cause it going wrong. Grrrr. Didn't help I was drawing in pen.

Well tehn...
Looks like my idea isn't too likely now anyway. Going on the Russian trip on Tuesday, so by the time I get back one of the other ideas will probably have been adopted by the group. That's not really a problem, because I know it'll probably turn out better, but it's a bit annoying on a personal level.
So I thought I'd write a post with the short summary I wrote up for my opening, and see what response is like... maybe Burby and Rob/Henry could do it too, as a "questionaire".
Anyway-
A man and a woman are walking down a road in quite high spirits- the girl looks drunk- and enter her apartment. The atmosphere we're presented with seems amorous, but this is shattered by his sudden stabbing of the girl- it comes out of nowhere, no music to set it up. He leaves quietly- no fuss, no real expression on his face.
We see him walking the streets, high angle shots mixed with closer ones, accompanied by music, there having been none up to this point (I'm currently thinking Swallow by Placebo- sounds "filmy"). The title credits are superimposed over these shots. Eventually he arrives at his own place, and as the music stops a close up of his face either dissolves or cuts into a shot of him sitting on a bus the next day- he could suddenly wake up if the cut technique gets used, but this might look comical. The opening would end o this shot, or on footage of passengers looking at him (his POV) followed by another shot of him looking away, then an extenal shot of the bus pulling up somewhere.
Comments please- Jon

Henry-oh's post
I would like to point out that my idea, the one that Rob did with me, is blates the best due to the simplicity of it, rather than adding too many characters and things like that. But in saying that I do like what Tom and John have in mind, we really need to consider the ideas put forward and have unbiased opinions on them ^_^
Like a science experiment turned into a horrific nightmare...they've asked us to make a film opening. Problem is, we currently have three different ideas, which i really don't know if we can amalgamate succesfully. I'm sure the more dictatorial/lazy streaks in our group will determine which one we use, though (mine's the best- it's got a bus in). Hopefully we can sort that out tomorrow...
blah blah
spent time coming up with an idea and a storyboard to show to John and to Henry and Rob who have done similars...
Oww and me and rob did a questionnaire and henry and john were their and changed it a bit :) The questionnaire is designed to find out how to cater our movie to the target audience, it includes stuff like what is your preferred subgenre etc etc etc
Umm, after doing some research last week i like the film noire style some thrillers adopt... so far johns is really creepy and h and r's is wet urself scary which is kl
++ if ur still reading i think it wud b useful if we label our posts with our names otherwise might get confused :)
