Managed to burn the film off, despite a minor drama with the power switching off. Atarexia is now complete as we can probably get it... now, I wonder what others will think?

Nearly finished

Editing's gone fairly well for such a small amount of time... now we need to think about getting this close up knife shot tomorrow. I guess we'll be needing-
Big knife (do not get caught, whoever brings this in)
Black shirt/material
Something to stick under said shirt (bread? cushion?)

Now, when can we really film this scene and then put it in the film? Don't most of you guys have free periods tomorrow afternoon?

i have an idea on how we can make the transition from apartment to trainstation work as right now looking through the footage their is a big hole that is impossble to fill...

for this idea we need to drop me going to my apartement... put in johns crazy shake footage... and do the face graphic match thing of me waking up in the trainstation booth...

we wud need to quickly film a closeup of me at the trainstation.. and then the hole is filled...

oh and do we still need the knife closeup shot!!?? shud get that done soonish 2!!

Santana

Got some more music that we could try out for the thriller, it santana (that way I did that title, see what I did there) and the first bit is sound effects and the second bit is slow meloncolly (can't spell) stuff, it might work but we'll see what everybody thinks (I might ask more people this time, good for reseach stuff) : )

Zzzzzzzz

Fiiiiiiiiiinaly finished the production report and I'm absolutely cream-cracker'd. But most fortuitously it looks ok, I don't think I have missed anything. We'll soon know 'cause it means I'll have failed... AGAIN!!!! Not pessamistic or anything I'm just "realistic" (I think thats the word parents use when they mean "my sons a failure")

yeh filming went okay reli surprising because me and henry... well me lol... hardly knew how to use the camera... only worked out the black and white function for the last few shots so i guess we will have to i-movie the ones that we did in colour... ah well, least we can hav some purdy directors titles in the credits woop

urm yeh got some reli distinctive shadows... stuck to the storyboards and then shot some different stuff which we thought worked well in the room we shot in... basically the drinks stuff and the embrace are in... and we shot stuff around that if ya get me....

lots of blood rob :D :D but we didnt have stuff for a close up of the knife so we shud do tht another day... the camera's battery ran out too... sooo we havnt filmed any of the killers bedroom but meh

Filming me like

Did a "load" more filming today, went pretty well AND I didn't swear once, during filming, which, to those who don't know me, is quite an achievement. We did all the stuff at the train station, which required a bit of improvisation since we needed Cat to get on a train then have Tom follow her without the doors shutting and carrying them off into the wide blue yonder. Which would have been funny but it might have meant our "actors" might have ended up in Hull : ) but, to be fair, we do all rock (Cat must be commended for her organising skills) so it got done alright. It took me a while to get used to panning with the camera, but "THE TEAM" (Tom and Jon) were on standby, so no-one was seriously hurt. We also had Shaun as our Z-part c vol 3a list celebrity so we're blatantly getting an A mega triple uber super huge star for our work *caveman roar*.

Soundtrack wise were getting a bit closer to having a most excellent sound thingy. My idea was to start with this music Tom has, which is cool. Then as things start to get "romantic" *eye rolling* then we would start to introduce child's laughter in the background, which gets louder and louder until Tom skewers Ashleigh when it then all switches into brutal screaming killing noises (I'll just rage into the mic) then it can switch back into some other music, that someone had, as Ash hits the floor and Tom looks at her. Jake's going to have a field day calling me a psycho for this *more eye rolling*.

Think Henry had some music for the walking scene, hows about "Little Green Bag" may have been used previous like, in another not very successful film.

Blooooooooooooooooooood

Bit off topic but I've finally seen Hot Fuzz, see they managed an exploding head. Could've done with more blood though (only joking) we need exploding heads in our film, thought of a way to do it : ) no seriously I've got ideas for the blood pack stuff, I just need some equipment, fortunately I work in Sainsbury's... leave it to you ol' pal, lads.

about Tuesday, my mum says it's ok for us to film at mine for a couple of hours or something, but I'm not sure about travelling...

Music-wise for ambience we could use the end of looking for the sun by shark island, hopefully it'll work for the walk shots ^______^

film noire

anyone got any film noire style sounds in mind??

i like the idea of having some random chill out/make out lol music on in the background at the start... we could emphasise her fiddling with the music and with the drinks like tarrantino pulp fiction scene??

i'm worried closeups of the stabbing with "screaming animal noises" or "childrens laughter" could be Hot Fuzz comedy horror rather thn noire horror i dunno

i had some ideas on the middle bit... where i'm walking... to make it more interesting inspired by johns shakey camera work lol... involves the fading stuff tht rob was talking about... but extending it into the bedroom until we cut into the clear light of day for the train scene... i spose i could explain that better...

but meh...

Music 2

Did just think of something for when th film starts. We could have some contrapuntal music for the bit when we first see Tom and Ash. We could have "All Right Now" by Free, for the first scene before we move on to the child voices bit. From the last verse the song goes,

"Let me tell you all about it now,
Took her home, to my place,
watching every move on her face,
she said look whats your game,
are you trying to put me in shame,
baby I said slow, slow, don't go so fast,
don't you know that love can last,
she said, love, lord above,
now your trying to trick me in love"

Think its an ominous prediction about whats going to happen to Ash, we could then fade it into the noises.

Music

First off I'd like to say that shooting went pretty damn well, as Jon said below, but I would advise any other groups, who are left to film, DON'T shout out about murdering people at night whilst near built up areas... as I might have done (sorry guys). Why don't we each record sounds into the mic whilst whatching our finished thriller. For instance we could have that kids music sound before the stabbing but when you see Tom has stabbed Ashleigh it could switch into some really animal screaming grunting noises, to represent whats in Tom head. Then we overlay each persons noises onto the film maybe reverse some and then see what effect that has. Hopefully it will be really jarring. I think music might not have the same effect as random noises, what does everyone else think?

Shooting

Went rather well, I thought- lots of takes and camera angles for outdoors bits. Rob, however, dropped a bit of a bombshell by imforming me that he and Ashley aren't able to film the interior sequences on Monday. Which is helpful.
Still, I reckon we can shoot the train station sequence on Monday afternoon (last two lessons). We'll have to come up with a plan of when we can possibly shoot the interior bits- it wouldn't be a problem, but we've left it a bit late to start filming. Nobody's fault, of course.

Story boards

Ok, printed off the story boards and I'll start drawing them up. There a bit faded though so I'll need a bit of help deciphering them. See you all at six of the clock , remember bring the camera : )

Well, shooting schedule seems to be (mostly) sorted... this Saturday in town for the exterior shots, and Monday afternoon for the interiors. If we can decide whose house we're using... I think photos of rooms we might consider using would be handy. Hint hint...
